Carrie

My why is motivational. I have always taken care of myself and my very active kids, Michael (18), Brady (15), Caitlin (12) and Parker (2). I try to motivate them every day to be the best that they can be, and believe today is my tomorrow and that it is up to us to shape it, to take control, and to seize every opportunity. I am very excited to continue to lead Warrior Tech and support our wonderful staff. As owner, the Director of Finance, and the organizational backbone of Warrior Tech OCR and Warrior Tech Raleigh, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to be part of something great and I could not have asked for a better group of people to work with.

Justin

Justin has been our Kids Program Director since we started Warrior Tech back in 2016. Having been a personal trainer since 2007, he had worked with many different demographics. Needing to service the needs of athletes from various sports, people trying to just get into shape, people trying to rehab injuries or fix imbalances, or people just trying to feel better about themselves and physically, Justin has always had to have a comprehensive approach to both performance and health/fitness. Having a solid foundation in most of the physical aspects of training, he searched for years for a more complete and systematic approach to the mental side of training. Then, someone recommended reading “With Winning In Mind” by Lanny Bassham. After reading numerous different mental performance books, listening to podcasts, watching videos, and even attending conferences, nothing quite matched up with the WT philosophy or Justin’s style of teaching/coaching. With Winning in Mind changed all that and Justin reached out to the author immediately after finishing the book in order to learn how to get more information on how to implement the system with his athletes. Turns out, Lanny personally teaches and certifies those interested in running and teaching Mental Management Systems. After multiple weeks of one on one instruction from Lanny Bassham himself, Justin is now a Level III Certified Instructor for Mental Management Systems. This is the highest level of certification in the system, and it gives him the license to teach 4 different classes as part of the Mental Management Systems, with a focus on implementing them in Ninja Warrior training and competitions.

Melissa

While Coach Melissa/Mosby thought it would be impossible to be surrounded by sports and fitness this much as an adult, she is still playing soccer in a couple leagues, is attempting ninja, and is working with a variety of clients as a personal trainer. Following a degree at UNC Chapel Hill in Exercise and Sport Science and living abroad for a couple years, Mosby got into personal training in 2018 with her NSCA certification. She discovered the world of Obstacle Course Racing through some clients that roped her into doing a Rugged Maniac with them in 2019, and she has only wanted to continue racing in OCRs ever since. Over the years, she curated an interest in nutrition due to its large influence on physical activity and daily life and has a few certifications through M2 Performance Nutrition.

With a passion for sports, races, and the need to prepare for them both, Mosby has had a blast training groups at OCR to have more Strength, better Metabolic Conditioning and Obstacle Course Readiness since 2023! Now, as the General Manager of the Morrisville/OCR facility, Mosby is eager to continue to grow with Warrior Tech on and off the obstacles!!

Calvin

Calvin started training in the sport of Ninja at age 12. After he attended a week-long camp during the dreaded COVID summer, Coach Justin asked him to join the competition team. Since then, he’s grown in his technique, speed, strength, and agility. He’s also grown friendships, sportsmanship and many competition memories. Calvin has competed in Ninja Carolina League (NCL), Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association (UNAA) and World Ninja League (WNL). He’s attended the UNAA World Championships all 3 years of competing, and most recently competed at the WNL worlds where he made the podium and placed 3rd in Overall Skills. Other accomplishments include placing 3rd Overall in Season 1 & 2 in NCL, and 1st Overall in Season 3. Regionally, in UNAA, he was ranked 16th Overall for Season 7 and 12th Overall for Season 8. He continues to work on speed, being a coachable kid and supportive teammate, and challenging himself to always grow.

When Calvin isn’t at Warrior Tech he enjoys listening to music, hanging with friends, coaching and swimming on the neighborhood swim team, and working on his 1974 MG with his Dad. His goal one day is to work at and own his own gym to help continue to grow the sport of Ninja, and help kids find their own ninja friends and sport family like he has over the years.

Mychal

Attending Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN Mychal Woodard has been a movement coach for roughly 12 years specializing in Dance, Acro, Tricking, Cheer and Gymnastics. His career in dance has made him a 4x National Champion, 8x World Champion and he has appeared on shows such as So you think you can dance, World of dance and the Disney Channel. His experience coaching has lead him to teaching workshops all over the united states and across seas to Australia, Japan and Europe. But – His greatest life experience thus far is having his beautiful daughter, Harper. He is very excited to bring his movement knowledge to the ninja platform here at Warrior Tech.

Matt

Since graduating with a degree in exercise science from ECU in 2013, Matt has dedicated his career to helping others achieve their health and fitness goals. He went on to earn his Master’s in Kinesiology with a focus in corrective exercise and adaptive programming in 2021. In 2022, Matt got a gig as Lead Tactical Strength and Conditioning Coach working as part of the Holistic Health and Fitness team serving the 82nd CAB in the US Army. One would think that would mean he is less involved. No. He’s still part of our WTFam as our Lead Adult Ninja Coach Extraordinaire! Always trying to push his limits physically, Matt has competed in multiple Spartan Races, marathons, and Ninja Warrior competitions…like that little one called American Ninja Warrior!

Nolan

I'm Nolan Riley, a junior at Apex Friendship High School, and my life has been shaped by my love for ninja. For the past six years, I've dedicated myself to mastering the skills of a ninja, and it's been an incredible journey. Competing on the global stage has been a significant part of my life. I've had the privilege of participating in nine different world championships, where I've faced some of the toughest competition out there. One of my proudest achievements was placing 5th overall in the WNL Young Adult division. It's a testament to the countless hours of training and hard work I've put into this sport.

Erin

Coach Erin has already brought the pain on Saturdays, so get ready as she takes on the weekend training for us all! Erin started her professional trainer career in grad school while studying the effects of exercise in pigs (yep, you read that right, pigs!). She has  Masters in Animal Physiology - which ummm, pigs, mud, OCR, seriously we see the connection ;0). She started racing with half marathons in 2012 and on a whim in 2018, decided to try this thing called a Spartan race. She went into her first race (Sprint) totally unprepared, did a LOT of burpees, went home, signed up for a super and started training with a tractor tire in her yard and carrying a sand bag around the neighborhood! So far, she has completed 14 half marathons and 5 spartan races across 12 states. Her goal is to complete a race in every state (and maybe a few different countries) . After moving to Raleigh, she joined WT in 2022 for her first OCR gym experience and got hooked! She recently decided to put her years of racing, injury recovery, and physiology experience into use as a Certified Personal Trainer to help others train for their goals.

Grahm

Hey there! I'm Grahm Beauchamp, a junior at Cary High School and an unstoppable force in the world of American Ninja Warrior. Ranked fifth in the world in my division, I've qualified for worlds through UNAA and WNL six times, competing in my other leagues as well, showcasing my exceptional skills and dedication. With over 60 competition victories under my belt and countless more on the horizon. I've been a member of Warrior Tech since 2018 bringing with me experience in parkour and gymnastics, I am well-rounded in the art of conquering obstacles. In addition to my own training, I've been coaching others for four years, helping them reach new heights. You can often find me practicing and working out inside and outside of Warrior Tech because when it comes to achieving my goals, I never settle for anything less than my very best.

Lilah

Lilah Nathison is an elite ninja who comes to Warrior Tech from Fuquay Varina, North Carolina. Lilah has medaled in a number of world events, including UNAA and WNL, and she placed in the top 20 and top 10 during the first two pro Ninja Sport Championship seasons. Lilah, also known as L Grizz, has competed on American Ninja Warrior in seasons 14 and 16. Prior to discovering ninja in 2020, Lilah was a competitive gymnast and still coaches gymnastics in Fuquay Varina. During her free time, Lilah loves spending time with her friends and family, cheering on the Willow Spring High School Storm, and going to the beach. Lilah is so happy to be a part of the Warrior Tech family, where in addition to coaching, she is a member of the Elite Back Team. Lilah loves working with male and female athletes of all ages, but her passion is helping young female ninjas discover and grow in the sport she loves.

Jacob

I spent a short stint at Pfeiffer University where I was on scholarship for cross country and track before transferring to Appalachian State where I also minored in criminal justice, social work, and geographic information systems and majored in Public Administration while on the men's basketball scouts team. I have extensive experience in working with kids, particularly in basketball clinics and camps, before I got into counseling at risk youth at Timber Ridge while also running my nonprofit which caters to hunger and homelessness. One day I hope to open up my own community center with a myriad of programs for kids of all ages and diverse abilities, as well as host night programs for adults and the less fortunate! I have over five years of facilities management experience and two years of community engagement experience. I was a personal trainer for two years focusing on strength and conditioning and hope to get nationally certified within the next year or so. I’m excited to become a part of the Warrior Tech family and eager to help us grow, particularly focusing on camps, classes, and competitions!

Mariesa

Coach Mariesa's fitness journey began about a decade ago when she decided she was tired of being overweight, unhealthy, and insecure with how she looked. Her weight loss journey took a roller coaster ride before finding success through her participation in a bootcamp.

As time went on, Mariesa started participating in Spartan races and her perspective around training changed. She started training NOT to lose weight, but to prepare for her races. Eventually she was racing competitively in the ELITE category, and actually scored a second place podium in her first elite race!

Mariesa decided that if she could do it, anyone could. She realized her passion was HELPING OTHERS achieve things they never thought possible, become comfortable and empowered in their bodies, and realize that they are more than just a number on a scale. She got her CPT and Nutrition certifications through NASM, and her Spartan SGX to follow through with her goals of helping others.

Mariesa eventually switched over from Spartans to hybrid racing, and managed to qualify for the DEKA World Championships in 2022 and 2023. In 2023, she was TOP 20 IN THE WORLD!
